The protagonist, Djynun, is a jinn, a magical spirit that can grant three wishes and works in service to the sultan.

One day, something bad happened and the sultan wished that Djynun ended his own life, but jinns can't die.

Now Djynun is stuck in a limbo between life and death and must escape to be reborn.
